Sanjee Maharaj is the Director of Sanjee Maharaj Inc. and a qualified South African legal practitioner admitted in 2019. She specialises in construction law, engineering disputes, and complex commercial litigation.
She has extensive experience in arbitration, adjudication, and High Court litigation across South Africa and Botswana, acting for contractors, employers, and state-owned entities in high-value infrastructure and construction disputes.
Her expertise spans major construction contract frameworks including FIDIC, NEC3, and JBCC, with a strong focus on delay claims, payment disputes, contract enforcement, and risk allocation.
Sanjee has acted in multi-million rand disputes and has successfully represented clients in matters involving construction guarantees, payment certificate disputes, termination claims, and enforcement of adjudicator determinations at appellate level.
She has also worked on international matters in Dubai and London, supporting contractors in complex engineering and infrastructure disputes.

Melissa Sewcharran is a Candidate Attorney specialising in construction law, with a strong foundation in contract management, procurement law, and tender administration within engineering and industrial environments.
She holds an LLB from the University of South Africa and has completed postgraduate studies in Supply Chain with 8 years of experience and Management Development, strengthening her expertise at the intersection of law, contracts, and commercial operations.
Melissa has extensive experience in managing the full lifecycle of tenders and contracts, including the drafting, review, and administration of complex agreements such as NEC, FIDIC, JBCC, and GCC contracts. Her work includes supporting procurement compliance, conducting legal and commercial due diligence, and assisting in contract negotiations and stakeholder engagements.
Her background also includes leading cross-functional teams and coordinating input from legal, technical, and operational stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant, and competitive submissions.
